Home Buying - A Boon or Curse?

Buying a real estate property is easier said than done. Trust me, my husband and I just went through the entire tiring process. It was full of obstacles and financial confusions. Most of the problems kept popping up just when we thought we were done. Weeks of planning and research and sleepless nights were spent calculating what it would all amount to and if we could even afford it! We've come so close to giving up so many times and hoping we lose our bid on the house, so we can just go back to renting. Renting seemed so much more blissfull and carefree.

Eventually we did get the house and we're currently in the process of doing up the place to suit our fancy. While recently calculating what we have been spending, we nearly got a heart attack. We realised our bank balance would go into negative if we contiued with our expenditures; but is that going to stop us?

All said and done, now when we come back home, it's our home. We are enthusiastic about doing it up and wish we had more money to spend on it because it's ours and is a part of who we are. So if anyone out there is currently in the process of buying a house, I do sympathise with you. But know this, when it is all done and you get the key to your new home, it will all feel worth it.

Thanks for dropping by.

With you on the house buying thing. And doing it up is so exhausting especially since we bought a flat still under construction so we even chose our bathroom tiles, light fixtures, fans, kitchen fitting and so on...
